GOOD LAWD!! What a day...

Today I spent too much time on my feet at work. I had one of those days where you just wish you could just go home and not return to work EVER and be fine. Oh why did Mega Millions have to be so fickle to me??  I am just so tired.   My legs, feet, and back are all sore.  I did not even go riding.  I went straight to my bed right after I fed Solomon.  I did not get back u for hours. Solomon kept coming to the side of the bed to check on me.  I guess he wanted to make sure I was still breathing.  He is such a sweetheart.  Now if only he could dust and vacuum up his hair daily while I am at work...  But he is head of security at my house and he holds that job down!  LOL!

My cubicle mate Oldgirl LadyLee and I did not eat lunch until 3pm!!  Mann ... people were leaving work white we were walking to get our lunch.  CRAZY!  I would post pics but I am NOT going back downstairs to get my camera.  Nope it is not gonna happen.

I feel like a taking some vacation time!!  I have to wait a bit though because in May my youngest niece is graduating from Ga Southern University. CowgirlCre's clan will all be present and accounted for on that day in Statesboro. YAY!!  I will most definitely do a post about that when the time comes.

I'm sleepy!  I will try to do a better post tomorrow.

BREAKING BAD HABITS

I have settled into a groove and it is NOT all good.  In some ways I am still finding my stride after divorce.  I only have to worry about me and my beasties,  however  I have to break some bad habits that I have recently developed.
  1. I have settled in a routine of  getting in to work anywhere from 7 to 10AM (mostly near 10AM).  I need to do better.  I need to get in earlier so that I will have time to go home and either let Solomon out or pick him up to go with me to the barn. Yeah.. Yall  had to know that my motivation was somehow related to Felix !!  LOL!!  What can I say beside I live to ride and ride to live!   LOL!!  Maybe that way I will be able to get home at a decent hour.
  2. I need to keep up with my household chores.  I keep playing catch up because I was too tired or lazy to do it in a more timely manner.  Just throwing the junk mail in the trash immediately will help and some other easy fixes. I got to get organized and put my plan in action. Afterall it is just me and Solomon living in this house, it should not be that hard.  I just have to break the bad habits that allows this to happen.
  3. I need to make sure I exercise at least 5 days a week.  When I don't ride, I need to hit the treadmill.  I am helping Jenny around the barn.  Barn chores are hard work.  Picking stalls and pushing the wheel barrow when it is full to go dump it is a workout.  Leg, arms, and back workout. So the barn chores will help keep me in shape.  My poor kettle bells  have not been used for over a month now.  I got to pull it back together especially since I have been slowly gaining weight. I must ride Felix longer to increase both of our fitness.   Even he on some days after only 15 minutes of work ask the question "We are done right?" and proceeds to anticipate me stopping.  That just goes to show you that our workouts are not as long and focused like they should be.  That leads to.....
  4. Felix and I need to start back working with a trainer, so we can progress.  I have been pretty much doing it on my own for over a year now but we still need someone to push us to be better.  I need that set of eyes on the ground that can tell me what I am doing right or wrong and how to correct it. Also if Im going to show, I want to be great and improve each time out or I can just keep my money.
I will definitely have to work on these things. I will let you guys know about my progress on changing these bad habits. I will conquer them all !!

DOG FIGHT !!!

Solomon Christmas 2011
Yesterday, I had a great busy day.  I helped JennyO around the barn  with unloading a new shipment of hay.  She fed and turned out in the morning.  I clean the stalls and barn chores.  I brought Solomon along for the morning adventures.
Australian Shepherd
He and JennyO's Australian Shepherd, Zeke, did not hit it off well.   Time Solomon got out of the car, Zeke sniffed then tried to mount him. Zeke is not fixed and is used as a stud from time to time.  Solomon just stopped and gave Zeke a stern look as if to say "Dude this is not gonna end well".  JennyO kept saying that Zeke was acting like he was gonna get him some.  Solomon was trying to explore and not to engage in a fight but Zeke tried to mount him one time too many and snapped.  JennyO happened to be rolling up an outdoor thick extension cord and used that to break up the fight.    Solomon, I guess said "Darn it I'm fixed but I'm not your b*tch!!".  After that JennyO but Zeke up and Solomon played with her Jack Russells, Chester and Bailey.  I will have to take some pictures of the dogs and Felix at JennyO's.

JennyO  to leave to go to a horse to announce.  I completed the barn stuff and set up another jump in the arena. Visited with Felix in his pasture for a bit then went home for awhile.  I  left Solomon at home and went to sit with JennyO at the horse show for awhile.  It is very enlightening to watch the actual judges judge at the horse show.  JennyO sent Zeke home with me. He hopped in the car in the backseat where Solomon rides and sat so sweetly. He is a sweet beautiful dog and he passes that along to his offsprings.   I got to JennyO's and did evening chores...bringing in the boys and feeding all under Zeke's watchful eyes.    I rode Felix and settled the boys in for the night with hay an their sheets.  JennyO and I had dinner at the Pizza joint.

I woke up today with a bad headache. There is something wrong with waking to be slammed with a headache. However, I thank God that I am still in the land of the living.  I have been lazying around in and out of bed.  I soon have to get up and go do evening barn chores again. I told JennyO since she was going to be busy with the show that I would do the barn this weekend.  This would give her a break.  There are only 3 horses but still it is work.  I also want to ride Felix.  Headache or no headache, I still want to ride him.  For riding him is the highlight of most of my days.  Being on Felix in particular at the apex of a jump when you and your horse are in sync is bliss!!  For that split second I'm Queen of the world!!  I may not even ride but he ALWAYS makes me smile.   Hopefully at the end of my time at the barn, my headache will be gone!!
